Question

"Recognize Text" no longer has a "not text" or "ignore" option?

Back in 2010~2012 I had "Adobe Acrobat X Standard" installed on my PC and when doing OCR and 'correcting errors', it was possible to mark some of its OCR attempts as "not text" or similar.  Since that install disk/version doesn't appear to function on Windows 10,  I now have "Acrobat Standard 2017"

Is there an equivalent in this 2017 version? It appears it only offers "accept" and for cases like the one below it's pointless -  it's a dashed line from a diagram!

I've had other cases where it's interpreted arrows as text.  Is there some hidden option to enable a button or tell it to ignore this one in the future?

Thanks

Simon

Scanning and OCR changed a lot since the days of Acrobat X. In general, the OCR algorithm has gotten better. With that also came changes to the user interface. As far as I know, there is no "ignore" option anymore.

Oh I won't deny that it seems to have improved considerably since I last used it, it's just it's not exactly infallible 🙂

Which leads me to the follow-on question "Is there any way to request it in an updated version"?
