Hi all. I have Adobe Acrobat 2017 and I am new to running actions but trying to learn. Is it possible to record actions in Adobe Acrobat 2017 so that I can see the javascript and modify?

Not possible. The things you can do manually in Acrobat can't be expressed in JS code, so there's no mechanism that allows you to record your actions and somehow convert them to JS.
