Rectangles are Invisible

In any document, when a rectangle is drawn it appears invisible. Line thickness, opacity, and transparency have all been verified. All layers/objects are shown. When any other shape is drawn, they appear normally. This issue is isolated to only rectangles. Screen shot of issue is attached and file.
