Redaction Help

Hi All - I used redact all of the time in Adobe Acrobat but have not used it in a few years.  I went to redact something today (PDF document) and it seemed different.  I think I have the same version of Acrobat that I had before.  With the old version I would hover my cursor over what I wanted to redact and a cross bar icon would appear and I would outline what I wanted to redact and click out of it when complete.  When I try to redact now I get an "I" in page icon which redacts when I hover the cursor over printed items this takes so much longer and it is not as easy to use.  When I pull up the te Redact Tool only "Redact Text & Images and Sanitize Document" appears.  Thank you so much for your help.  Janet
