Question

Redaction(s) is copying to multiple other pages.

We have users on our network with issues regarding Acrobat Pro. Whenever they try and redact on a PDF document, the first two pages will usually be clean or correctly redacted, but once the users redact on more than two, they see multiple redactions from other pages or earlier pages. It has been a know issue that we have not been able to resolve yet.

-Users are on a active subscription

-Not sure if the program being 32-bit matters

-No other known issues within the document editor known

-All users who redact have this problem, not just one user.

I found that breaking the pages apart, applying the redactions to each page individually, then reassembling the pages worked.  It's a pain and increases the work twofold.  Hope Adobe figures out what the issue is soon!

I'm having the same issue mainly with bank statements downloaded from the Bank.
Even if I print them to another PDF file, whenever I redact on one page it redacts on every page.

Same issue here. Hoping a solution is near, it looks like this issue has been a thing for a couple of years with Adobe.

This is usually the result of an incorrect file structure. You can try re-creating the file by exporting the pages to (high resolution) images, then combining them to a new PDF and running Text Recognition on them, then redacting them.

The result might not be 100% identical to the original, but it will probably not have this issue you're describing.

So I should mention that we were able to redact successfully with a different application, Kofax, and pages came back fine. It seems to be an issue with Adobe and how it is interating with the PDF document we give it.

-We have tried reinstalling

-Using Microsoft print to PDF

-Trying to use OCR Scanned and use the text option, 600dpi.

-Deleted registry keys for adobe AR and repairing the program.
