Question

refill a fillable form?

Hi

I have created a pdf with fillabel forms. It's all one one page, but split into 3 sections.

The idea is that one person fills in the first 1/3 of the forms according to the process, saves the document under a new name. Then person #2 opens the document and fills the forms according to that proces and saves the document, without renaming it. Finally the last person open, fill out the last forms and saves the document, again without renaming.

It works when I do it from my local drive, but not from a server. And it absolutly have to work from a server.

Any help would be nice

Best regards

I think person 1 may need to quit Acrobat.  There are other nastier possibilities but that's what I'd try first.

So, you have Cc. Does EVERYONE have a CC subscription? And have you actually confirmed (visually) that they are filling with Adobe software, rather than one if the other PDF viewers they have? I agree too - we need to know what fails.

Sorry its Adobe Acrobat Pro DC we all have.

Ill try to clarify where and what fails:

Person 1: opens the document, and fills in 1/3 of the forms, then saves it under a new name. = this works

Person 2: opens the saved document, and fills in another 1/3 of the form, then saves without renaming = this fails

Person number 2 isn't allowed to save the document.

Im pretty sure it's not read-only and it is not open by another user.

Again if I do this from my local drive everything is fine, but from file-server it does not.

Nothing should change if by "server" you mean "file server" (network share) rather than "web server" or some other kind of file sharing server. And provided everyone uses Adobe software to fill - did you check this?

Oh, and provided everyone is on Mac or Windows, not mobile devices.

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

I do mean "file server", its on my companys network. I thought to, that nothing should change, but it does even when I try to do, on the file server what I can do localy, It changes - does not work.

This is an windows environment, no mac or mobile devices. We have the full adobe cc 2017 package.
