Question

Regardless of Printer or Adobe settings, Adobe's "create document with scan" always makes a split horizontal page with the right hand side being blank and an added divider.

Using Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 Licenses (32 Bit), these are required by my client due to their publishing requirements. They are using a Canon IR 6555i to scan. Their workflow is to open Acrobat, go to File, then create document, then create document with scan. Issue is when we do this the page will scan and open into Adobe horizantally regardless of settings, it will have a visable border- a black line down the middle and the scanned page will be scaled into the left hand side while the right remains blank, like it is trying to build a booklet, we have checked the printer, we have checked the windows 11 driver settings, tried diff drivers, we have checked the page layout, we have tried using the newest Adobe, we have tried 64 vs 32, we have tried 4 different print drivers, we have tried adjusting settings in Adobe, we have tried purging the PC of all remnant Adobe registry keys and orphaned items and used acroremover to do so and used revo. We have adjusted the printers scan settings orientation, page size, format, scan resolution, speed etc.

The theory is a dumb one, but i don't disagree with it. Adobe is trying to be too smart and is bypassing all user settings to make the pages this way due to the sensor in the printer picking up a small incongruity in the page size either by physical size or an issue with scaling. or something like page optimization is arranging the page post scan without user input and bypassing all settings such as “liquid mode”

as of 3 months ago, with worked perfectly, but a combo of windows updates and adobe updates pushed thru a while back and since then it simply will not scan a normal page from within adobe at all- breaking this clients work flow. we have had 3 techs onsite working on this issue and no one is getting any answered and Adobe itself has been less then helpful- so we are turning to the community for help.

Also we turned off sandbox, enhanced security, gen AI features, sig verification, java, and any form of cloud upload, open, or online save capabilities in testing.
