Registering new product

I just downloaded my copy of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. It asks me if I want to start a free trial or license software. When I click on "license software" I am asked for the serial number. I enter in the serial number I was given, and it says it's not a valid serial number. I don't know what to do!

Acrobat Pro DC is a subscription based product. It does not need a serial key. Your Adobe ID is the key to which the product is licensed to. Please download Creative Cloud from the following link and install it. Sign in using your Adobe ID , if prompted. Once installed, please open Acrobat Pro DC from within it.

I bought the product from Best Buy. I was able to download the product, but it says I'm on a trial and to enter my serial number, which I received after I verified my eligibility for the teacher edition. Now it wants me to enter that serial number, but then it says it's invalid and I have 3 days of my trial left. I have reached out to them via email and have had no response. I need this for teaching my classes virtually and I don't know what I'll do if I can't access it in 3 days, expecially when I paid for the whole year already
