Reinstalling Acrobat 8 Standard without serial number

My computer crashed and unknowingly Apple upgraded me from Yosemite to Sierra which wiped out my Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard software. I wasn't too worried because I have the original disk purchased years ago. However, when I went to reinstall, it asks me for a 6 digit serial number. Unfortunately, I no longer have the box the disk came in, but I wrote down the 24 numeric product key code that I had to use when I first installed and registered it. How do I reinstall the software without a serial number, or where do I get the serial number when I no longer have the box?

Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Sierra (and chances are that it also did not run correctly with Yosemite). As far s I remember, there never was an Acrobat Standard for Mac OS, only Acrobat Pro is (and was) available for the Mac. You need to either downgrade your operating system, or upgrade Acrobat. I run older Acrobat versions in a virtual machine on top of my El Capitan/Sierra.

As far as the serial number goes, it should only require the 24 digit number. If it's asking for more than that, is it possible that you have an update, and it is looking for the Acrobat 7 serial number?

You should be able to retrieve your Acrobat 8 license key from your "Products" page: Adobe ID (as long as you've registered your copy of Acrobat).

Thanks so much for responding. My mistake, I have Adobe Acrobat X Pro for Mac OS and it is registered. I installed the disk again and it's asking for a 6-digit serial number which I don't have. I only have the 24 digit product code. I have looked for the serial number on my products page but don't see it.

I should also add that my products page says I have no registered products. So when I enter the 24 digit product code, it says it's already registered!
