Reinstalling Acrobat after blue screen crash

I have a new HP G470 laptop with Windows 10, Office and Acrobat Pro 17 Student & Teacher version.  This afternoon I suffered a major system crash (blue screen) after which my entire Acrobat installation disappeared.  I suspect Windows rolled my system back to a point before I installed Acrobat.  So I'm now downloading the installer again and trying to rebuild the system.

Since I have a Student & Teacher version, I am entitled to two installations, but so far have only used one.  When I reinstall will this use up my second installation entitlement, or will the Adobe license check identify that it's going on the same computer as the first one?

I'm also wondering the same about my Office 365 subscription, but at least there are 5 of those!

I'm also concerned that I may need to install Windows 10 again because bluetooth functionality seems to have completely disappeared - so I need to know whether I should risk installing Acrobat again before I do this.

Thanks

Philip

Hello Philip,

If you wish to install the Acrobat Pro 17 Student & Teacher version again, you can download and install it and can use the serial number for activation. Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, 2017, XI, or X It will use the first installation entitlement.

The recommendation will be if you are planning to re-install Windows 10 again, install Acrobat after the installation of Windows.

For any activation issue, you may refer to Activation and deactivation troubleshooting

Anand,

Acrobat installed OK, but how do I see that I still have one entitlement available in my account?  It seems to just list my products and serial numbers.

Thanks

Philip

Hello Philip,

There is no option available to check the activation entitlement available for a perpetual single-user-license Adobe product.

For detailed information about the End-user license agreement, you can refer to the following KB docs Adobe end-user license agreements FAQ
