Removing email links - unsuccessful.

I have deleted the link to an email but after I close the 'Edit' option, I can still click the email and the link is still there. I have gone in and removed all Web links also but still the same result. Can someone help me figure this out?

    They are located throughout the pdf. Some pdfs are created from emails. I have had some pdfs that are just a list of different emails and nothing else.
