Removing links after applying redaction

Hi, I'm trying to redact a 300 page PDF document that includes hyperlinks to images in a subfolder. These images/links open prior to any redaction, then once the redaction is applied the links don't work.

I initially had an issue once redacting that the PDF converted to almost a scanned copy so i couldn't highlight any text or redact further. But i seem to have got around this via OCR.

Are there any work arounds?! please help!

Are the links gone, or do they still exist but point to the wrong location, or have no action at all associated with them?

Are you certain that the links are still pointing to the correct location?
