I am doing work where I have to rename many fields of a form in adobe acrobat dc. Is there a way to do this without having to redo all fields which consumes all the computer memory and makes work slow and almost impossible?

It's not possible to automate renaming fields in Acrobat, unless you remove the old ones and then create new ones, but then you lose some information, such as the their Format, Calculation, Validation, etc.

The other option is to do it using an external tool, which can rename fields without losing information.

I've developed such (paid-for) tools and you can find them here: http://try67.blogspot.com/2014/06/rename-pdf-fields.html

    Hi There

Thanks for reaching out. As described above, you want to rename many fields of a PDF form in one go, correct?

There is no way to rename multiple fields of the PDF form in one go. To save a little time when you rename the fields manually, you can leave the field Property dialog box open and just click on each field to change the name so you don't have to open the Properties dialog again for every field.

    Hope this helps
