Repeating tasks

If you  know you are going to be doing a lot of the same comment functions, is there a way to select that task  so you son't have to select the same task again and again? I.e if you know you are going to do a lot of "insert Text" tasks, can you select the "insert Text" once and repeat that selection without having to come back and select insert text every time you want to insert text into a document?  (IE when you want to apply a 'format' in MS Word you can double-click the format (paint brush) and you can format multiple sections repeatedly without having to come back and select the paint brush every time you want to apply the format to a new section...
