Replacing Acrobat 2023 free with Acrobat Pro9

Question

New PC with latest Acrobat free. I have an owned DVD of Acrobat Pro 9, but it won't install saying loaded version is more functional (No it's not). Can I unistall the free and load the Pro9 or will this create headaches? Just want to ask first before a disasterous experiment

Sure, you can try it, but as the error message said, Acrobat 9 is very old, and not officially compatible with any current OS. I'm also not sure the activation servers for it are working, but you can give it a try... If it doesn't work you can always reinstall Acrobat Reader DC, as it's a free application.
