Request for Assistance: Image Converted to Text in Adobe Acrobat

Hello, Adobe Community.

 

I hope this message finds you well.

I'm reaching out to seek your kind assistance regarding an issue I've encountered in Adobe Acrobat. While editing a PDF, I noticed that an image within the document was automatically converted into text. I’ve already followed the official guide to ensure the settings in my Acrobat are correct, and I also reached out to the Help Center, but unfortunately, the issue still persists. This was unexpected, and I would appreciate your guidance on how to resolve or prevent this from happening in the future.

Thank you for reaching out.

 

It seems that Adobe Acrobat automatically applies Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to the image and interprets it as text content. In such a scenario, we suggest disabling the option. When you select the Edit PDF tool, click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the left-hand pane. Then unmark the box for "Recognize scanned text." Please take a look at the screenshot below.
