Request for Documentation: bEnableDefaultSignIn Registry Key for Acrobat + Microsoft Purview

I'm working on deploying Adobe Acrobat with Microsoft Purview sensitivity labeling (MIP) integration in our organization.

It seems like there is a registry key named bEnableDefaultSignIn under HKCU\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\Security\MSIP or HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown that enables automatic sign-in using the Windows user's Microsoft Entra credentials — which is essential for seamless MIP functionality.

However, this key is, apparently, not documented in any official Adobe resources, GPO templates, or deployment guides.

Could you please confirm whether:

  • bEnableDefaultSignIn is a supported setting

  • It will remain supported in future releases

  • It will be included in official documentation or GPO templates

Having this officially documented would be a great help for secure enterprise deployment and audit readiness.

Thank you!

Hi @RDALLE

Thank you for reaching out. You are correct, the key isn't mentioned in the Enterprise Acrobat toolkit.
I will check internally if I can get an answer to your questions.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi @Romain DALLE

Sorry for the delayed response.

I have got it check from the product engineering.
We have checked the entire code base but there is no reference of this registry setting bEnableDefaultSignIn. Further we checked Microsoft's MIP documentation but couldn't find anything related to this registry there as well. This is not a supported setting and its working cannot be guaranteed for future releases.

If you have specific requirement, please elaborate on that and i will ask the team if that is something that can be achieved.

Thank you for your patience.
