Resizing pdf pages while retaining existing orientation

I regularly combine multiple pdfs (one printed from word and then combined with multiple, 10+, printed from excel).  However, when you view the pdf all of the page sizing is very different.  By going to file->print to pdf then selecting "Fit" under page sizing and handling, this resolves the page sizing issue as intended. However, even with the Orientation option set to "Auto", when I print to pdf then all pages are portrait orientation i.e. the orientation is not retained.  It seems like the auto orientation setting is not working.  The only solution I have found is to manually go through the pdf afterwards and carefully rotate the pages. However, this can be 100's of pages and is very time consuming and prone to human error. Please advise if there is a way to adjust the page sizing AND retain the existing orientation.

Any ideas?!

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the delayed response.

When you apply one or more routine sets of commands to your files, you can save time and keystrokes by using an action—a defined series of commands with specific settings and in a specific order that you apply in a single step. You can apply an action to a single document, to several documents, or to an entire collection of documents. You can even scan documents and combine several documents into a single PDF before running an action.
