Resizing windows in Acrobat DC Pro (modern) stalls app

Resizing windows in Acrobat DC Pro (modern) stalls the application. It is miserable. I used to use Moom for this but was told last week that Acrobat has non-standard windows. I don't think that is the problem. Acrobat just cannot handle window resizing, period. Since this is an accessibility issue, Adobe ought to look into their liability clauses.

I've seen other complaints about this and no solutions on this site. Are others experiencing the problem with this application in the 'modern' form?
