I would like to restrict a PDF eBook to be opened in a specific IP Address/Range to prevent the document to be distributed freely as the content should be exclusive to the users that have paid for this.

Please advise whether this is possible?

thanks

Correct answer Test Screen Name

Adobe LiveCycle Rights Management is used by large enterprises for this sort of task (and priced to match). Requires 24/7 server to check access.

You should probably work towards accepting that there is nothing you can do, really, to protect content. It is a hard lesson, but it has to be faced by everyone from the smallest to Disney and Sony. This needed to be part of your business plan from the start.

Thanks for the quick response.

Is there any other cost effect alternative available to fit this requirement? We have a very limited budget and have already invested a large chunk of our funding to create the content, and overall trying to keep the costs to a minimum.
