Retaining fonts and hyperlinks when converting PPT to PDF

I can only retain my fonts when selecting “best for printing”. However, this removes any hyperlinks. Selecting “best for e-distribution” retains the hyperlinks, but loses the fonts. Can anyone advise what the issue is? I'm on a Macbook pro but had the same device at a previous employer and it worked fine, so assuming it's a local glitch or I need a different product to Adobe standard? TIA

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

Would you mind sharing the workflow/steps you are taking to create the PDF from the PPT? What is the application you are using? A small video recording of the steps you are taking and the issue as it occurs would very helpful.

Hi Amal, thanks for you reply... I'm working on a macbook pro and using MS365, trying to convert a PPT to pdf while retaining both the fonts AND the hyperlink. video here showing the font issue when selecting best for electronic distribution (loss of fonts) and printing (retention of fonts, loss of hyperlink fuctionality - not shown). The outcome is the same regardless of how I choose to create PDF e.g. if I use the Acrobat tab from top menu. I can't see Adobe PDF in my printer settings (just my physical printer) which is the only thing I can think of that's different to my previous set up. Thanks

Hi @simon_2891

Thank you for sharing the video and providing more details.
It appears that you are not utilizing Acrobat functionality for converting PPT to PDF format.

Click on the Acrobat Menu (Ribbon) and then click on Create. This way, you will access Acrobat functionality for converting PPT to PDF format. And check if that helps.

Alternatively, you can launch Acrobat, then select Menu > File > Create > PDF from File, select the file, and follow the instructions.

Let us know how it works.
