Question

RGB colour exported from InDesign presented as CMYK in Adobe Acrobat

Hi there,

Whenever I export a PDF from InDesign with RGB colour (as an interactive PDF, or even JPEG), the colour that is shown in Adobe Acrobat is far duller (looking like a CMYK output).

When I open the same files in Preview, the correct RGB colour shows. When I open a file with RGB colour from a colleague who's Acrobat reflects the correct colour, it shows as a duller colour on my end.

To me, it seems like there must be something going on with my Acrobat specifically. I've tried deleting and reinstalling, and have synchronised colour settings in my CC applications in Bridge, though that hasn't made a difference.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

I suggest asking in the InDesign forum, but you need to rephrase your question. The fact something looks dull doesn't mean it's in CMYK, and stating that it was converted from one color space to another without any proof only confuses things. Stick to what you can show, not what you assume.
