Question

rich media and 3d: opening a live pdf with sound

I have a live pdf file from a class. It contains audio of the presenter synchronized with my handwritten notes. It was transcribed from a Livescribe smartpen file recovered when my hard drive crashed and needed to be reformatted. I now need to access the complete file with audio, and since adobe no longer supports flash, all I can get access to is the handwritten notes. I have chatted with an adobe technician, and he offered no solution and suggested I post here to see if anyone can lend some insight.

Thank you in advance

Hi Joseph

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described you are unable to play the video embedded in the PDF file after the flash got EOL.

After discontinuing the Flash, Adobe encourages content creators to migrate any existing Flash content to new open formats, such as HTML5, WebGL, and WebAssembly. Playback, addition, or removal of Flash media (*.flv and *.swf) content embedded in PDF file is not supported any longer.

For more information, please check the help article https://blog.adobe.com/en/publish/2017/07/25/adobe-flash-update.html#gs.a7qxx2
