Hello
Is it possible to use a version of Acrobat X and a version of Acrobat DC simultaneously on the same workstation?
Acrobat X has plugins that are incompatible with Acrobat DC.

    Hi,

Unfortunately, no — you can't run two versions of Acrobat side by side on the same workstation. Parallel installations of two Acrobat versions interfere with each other; you can have one or the other installed, not both.

Former Adobe Principal Scientist Dov Isaacs confirmed this in a similar thread: "such parallel installations do in fact interfere with each other. You either have one or the other installed, not both." https://community.adobe.com/questions-9/two-versions-acrobat-pro-standard-1242038

So on this workstation you'll need to pick one — Acrobat X for your plugins, or Acrobat DC. If you need both, the practical workaround is to keep the older version on a separate machine or in a VM.

    Best regards

    Thank you for your reply.
Yes, I understand, but having two different installations doesn't necessarily mean they run at the same time.
You can easily kill one task to activate another.
Would installing the latest version pose any risk to the previous version?

    Hi positive_daydream619c,

    Thank you for reaching out.

As CORCTON34033231 mentioned, it is not possible to install two different versions of Acrobat on the same machine. If you install the latest version, it will overwrite the older version.

I would like to inform you that Acrobat X is an outdated and unsupported version, and the installer is no longer available on Adobe's server. If you have the installer available, you can reinstall the application later.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Meenakshi
