Hey folks,

I manage several service apartments in Mumbai  and handle all tenant agreements digitally via Acrobat. But I’m facing a weird issue — when I try to merge scanned ID proofs and signed lease PDFs, the resulting file often becomes unreadable or bloated (sometimes >15MB for just 5 pages 😵).

Anyone else experienced this?

I’ve already tried:

  • PDF optimizer

  • Converting scans to grayscale

  • Using "Save As PDF/A"

Still, no luck with keeping quality + reducing size. Also open to tools/workflows beyond Acrobat if they help.

This issue affects how I share contracts with clients (especially expats and corporates booking

Any insights or tips would be golden 🙏

Thanks,
Abrar

Scanned images can be quite large. If the file-size is too big then adjust your scanner settings to use a lower resolution.

You can also try using a lossy file format, like JPEG, instead of an lossless one, like PNG. The quality will be lower, but the file-size will be smaller.
