Save As and Combining Files not working.

I have read previous posts about the Save As function not working when trying to save a combined file. I have deselected both "Save As optimized for Fast Web View" and "Show online storage when opening files" in the preferences screen, as past posts indicate this would fix the issue.

When I attempt to save the new combined file on either a cloud server or my local device I am unable to save the new combined file unless I print to PDF, which causes the file to be unreasonably large or crashes my adobe. Further if I attempt to compress the printed file, I run into the same issue of it not being able to save a new instance.

I have checked for updates and ran any updates. I have performed a repair install and the issues remain. What is mind blowing to me is that this seems to be a known bug for nearly 8 years and it is not resolved. Anyone know how to fix this or where I may have gone wrong?

Is this a singular combined file? Or any combined file?

If it’s just one, I’d suspect that element(s) may be crashing your Acrobat rather than the program imploding itself. One way to check would be to try to create two combined files; one with the first half of your desired combined PDF, then one with the other half.

If you’re able to create one of them, a problem likely resides in the other. Divide and conquer until you find the guilty culprit(s).

    Good luck,

Thanks for the response! This is happening with any file in which I attempt to combine two or more files. I tested it on several different file types and sources. The file type and source does not seem to matter.
