Save before close - ignoring "No"

When I close a PDF (saved to my hard drive not cloud), pop-up box asks if I want to save. Sometimes the answer is no. However, recently it is saving anyways and screwing up my document. 

This happened previously and there was a fix for it online, now I can't find it.

Does someone know what it is or can Adobe FIX IT!!!!

It stopped!!!

Only thing I changed was:

Preferences/Documents/Restore last view settings

It may have only been a coincidence but I'll take it.
