Save to Recent Places broken

When I use the Save function or any Export function, the dialog Acrobat shows used to offer recent places that actually worked.

Now, since a few months at least for me, with the new Acrobat I would say, I always get the same folders, namely my Documents, Downloads and few others. None of these are the recent places I got in the old Acrobat.

I'm on macOS 14.5.

Hello,

It seems like you’re experiencing an issue with the “Save to Recent Places” feature in Acrobat on macOS 14.5. This can be frustrating, especially if you frequently save to different locations. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Check for Updates: Ensure that both Acrobat and macOS are up-to-date. Sometimes, issues like these are resolved in the latest software updates.

Reset Preferences: Sometimes, corrupt preferences can cause features to malfunction. You can reset Acrobat’s preferences by navigating to Edit > Preferences > General and unchecking the options for “Show online Storage when opening files” and “Show online storage when saving files”. Then, close and relaunch Acrobat.

Use Acrobat Cleaner Tool: If the issue persists, you might want to use the Acrobat cleaner tool to remove Adobe Reader and then reinstall it. This can help fix issues caused by corrupted installations.

Check System Permissions: Make sure that Acrobat has the necessary permissions to access the folders on your Mac. You can check this in the System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy tab.

I hope the information may helps you.

Hello,

this is what I see in the General page of Preferences (which, on macOS, is accessed via the Acrobat menu, not the Edit menu):

I don't see the options you are mentioning. Where are they?

macOS is up to date (14.5), and so is Acrobat.

I do not have an app called "Acrobat Cleaner" just an "Acrobat Uninstaller". I guess that's it?

Since macOS 13 System Preferences has been replaced by System Settings. In the Privacy and Security page, I see this:

Where should I go to check what you asked for?

In Files & Folders, Acrobat correctly has access to iCloud Drive.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well.

Please remove the application using the Acrobat cleaner tool https://adobe.ly/3VaV0tW, reboot the computer and reinstall the application using the direct link https://adobe.ly/3X5Jdje and see if that works.
