Saving fillable PDF in Adobe reader 10 as fillable

I have created a fillable form and enabled the exteded fill in option to make form fillable in Adobe reader 10 & earlier. But when i update the form & save, its being saved as Flat pdf. Is there a way i can make my fillable forms work on Adobe reader 10 & able to save them as editable copies ?
