saving Kanji on adobe PDF changes to ⮽

We have been using adobe PDF for a while at work and randomly yesterday we have had people who is saving documents and the Kanji are changed to ⮽

 

The japanese website says to update the software but there is no such an option on the version released to us at work... is there a work around?

This issue is addressed with the new version 23.03.20284, please update the application from the help menu > check for updates and reboot the computer once. You may also try to get in touch with the IT team at your end and download the patch manually from the link https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/ReleaseNotesDC/index.html and see if that works.
