Saving multiple PDF files to Archive format

Is there a way to batch multiple PDFs to save to the Archive format? My office suddenly needs to do this to thousands of files and I never even heard of this format until now.

Currently use Acrobat DC 12 for most staff. Only a few of us have Pro. Is it a Pro only feature?

Sorry for not replying. Yes, you can do this easily in Acrobat Pro. Create an Action (via the Action Wizard) and add to it a Save command.

Click the Specify Settings button under the command and then select to export the file to PDF/A. It should look like this:

Run the Action on your files and you're done.

What do you mean by "Archive format", exactly? Do you mean PDF/A?
