Saving to PDF from QuickBooks Fails (2017)

I've been having intermittent issues with saving documents in QuickBooks to PDF for several months now. When the function within QB would fail (which it honestly works once a day if at all), I would use the printer option "Adobe PDF on Documents\*.pdf", however, that has begun to fail me as well. This time my enter computer would freeze and I would have to force a restart to be able to use my machine. I've also tried a Microsoft PDF printer, but that does not always work. My OS is Windows 10 Pro, my QB is Enterprise v17, and I have a full version of Adobe Acrobat DC. I've been seeing that QB17 is not compatible with DC, can I have 11 Reader and DC installed on the same Windows machine? Any assistance to solve this issue would be appreciated.

Hi Leaaf,

As I understand, when printing QuickBooks document to Adobe PDF, computer freezes, is this correct?

Try disabling protected view and see if that helps. Launch Adobe Acrobat > click Edit > Preferences >

Under Security (Enhanced) > click the button Off next to Protected View.

Click OK > Relaunch Acrobat and try again.

Please note: Disabling Protected View is for troubleshooting purposes only. Turn the feature back on when the troubleshooting is complete.
