Scanned documents creating PDF file too large to email

I am trying to scan, save as PDF, and email legal  documents that are15-30 pages. I have adjusted resolution and compression settings for my scanner but the files are always over 22mb. I’ve scanned much larger documents in the past and never had any issues with file size. Is there anything in Adobe Acrobat I can adjust to get the file size smaller? Unfortunately splitting the file up is not an option. Can you please point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described, scanned documents creating PDF file too large to email

Would you mind sharing the workflow/steps you are doing to create the PDF? A small video recording of the same would be very helpful.

Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.

Also please go through the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/optimizing-pdfs-acrobat-pro.html and see if that works for you.

Regards

Amal

Reducing the size of PDFs to send them by email is an old method that dates back to the 20th century.

You should try this instead: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/sharing-pdfs.html

I found this info in the link. Most lawyers I know use Google Docs or Microsoft

"The new share experience is gradually being rolled out and unavailable to all users." ??

You must use "Add file storage":
