Scanned Documents searchable and able to edit?
Hi There,
We are converting our paper files to digital and scanning to Google Drive. We are using a production grade Canon scanner with OCR enabled. When we scan Document in using PDF/a format, we are able to search the drive and or files and these documents are searchable and come up. However, we are unable to highlight or edit anything in the document itself. When we enable editing and highlighting in the document, then we can no longer search within the document or in folders or drive for that document.
If we scan with OCR enabled and in PDF format, the document is not searchable but we can highlight at Cetera in the document.
What do we have to do in order to ensure that the document is always searchable within the folder or drive and we are able to highlight and edit if needed?
