SCREEN STILL GOES BLACK WHEN TRYING TO SIGN PDF: NO FIX WORKS

Happening again. When I click "Sign" then "Add Signature" , screen goes black and I have to force quit.

I have tried literally every single suggested fix and nothing works. NOTHING. Spent almost an hour so far (and this has happened many times over the years.) Important business docs to sign and CANNOT.

 

Try to update and get this message every single time:

An error occurred. Please check for updates again later.

Error: 301

    Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

     

    I see that you are using quite an old version of the application. Please update the application to the recent version 24.02.20687. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once and see if that works.

    When I click on Help and Check for updates, I get this message, "Adobe
    Acrobat is already up to date."
