Screenshot oversized when pasting into a pdf doc

Hello!

I'm hoping someone can help me.  I've created a fillable pdf using the latest version of adobe acrobat pro on my work computer.  When I try to take a screenshot and paste in the designated section on the form, the screenshot looks as if it's zoomed in about 1000%.  It more than covers the entire page.

To take the screenshot of a page off the internet I use alt+prt scr, then to paste I use ctrl+V.  Is there a quick and easy way to paste a normal sized screenshot in a pdf without having to spend a lot of time resizing?  My team needs to quality check websites and we need to take screenshots.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that.

 

What is the workflow/steps you are doing to create the PDF form and add the image to it? A small video recording of the same would be beneficial.

 

Also, please try to add the image field in the PDF form, Go to Tools > Prepare form > Add an image field and then try to add the screenshot in the image field and see if that works.

Hello Amal!

Thank you for your response!  The pdf is already created with a few text fields at the top and a line in the middle that simply states "Paste screen shots below this line"  It's a very simple pdf form to hold screenshots.

 

I tried your suggestion of adding the image field, thank you!  Unfortunately, it didn't work.  When I press crtl+V to paste the screen shot, it's still huge and now there's a blank box in the middle of the screenshot which is the image field.  If I click on the image field I'm prompted to browse my files for an image.  That won't work for my team.  I'm trying to make this form quick and efficient to use.

 

For a visual as to how the form currently looks when I paste a screenshot.  Picture a 8.5x11 sheet of paper on the desk, then put an 11x17 poster directly on top of it.  That's the best way I can describe the way the screen shots paste to the pdf doc.  It covers the entire form and the screenshot is so large you can't see full screenshot.

 

Is this something I can't do in pdf?  Do I need to stick with Word?  I didn't want to have to do that.

Pasting the screenshot directly into the PDF form is not the ideal workflow as it will result in the image getting pasted across the PDF file. If you want to insert the image in the PDF form it has to be through the image field > browse the image,  as described earlier.
