I Am looking to find a way to edit the file path of hyperlinks across a large range of magazines that are linked to an authors index   This is a system that has been developed over many years and has to be edited every few years as the next batch of magazines become available for the archive. Probably six years ago  I changed from an acrobat solution to an InDesign generated solution which worked fine for two editions   Now The Edits I have made in the current edition are failing as a bug in InDesign is exporting hyperlinks inclusive of their file path make all the edited index files useless  InDesign Support team are looking into the issue. I am  just looking for some kind of temporary fix, as the product is  meant to be available the first week of  November.  Below is the link generated from InDesign  in the pdf  and  below that is a typical  link that works correctly  from an older  unedited document.

Indesign New link

<</F(Drobo:SKM PDFS:Creation Folder:SKM5.pdf)/Type/Filespec/UF(Drobo:SKM PDFS:Creation Folder:SKM5.pdf)>>

Old indsign link  which is functioning correctly
<</F(SKM112.pdf)/Type/Filespec/UF(SKM112.pdf)>>

Also, links generated from within acrobat  look like the above  and work too

I assume that editing this in a text editor  is not going to work  I have tried  would seem perfect to make the edits  but the results are not good.   Anyone with any thoughts  it would take me far too much  time to work through he is  index system  manually recreating them  in Acrobat. Does anyone have any thoughts on a  something which might help?

I've developed a (paid-for) standalone tool exactly for this purpose:
