searching text in a pdf doc seems not to work in acrobat reader

​@Electric_wisdom5261 in addition to ​@PriyankaVishwakarma If you cannot select text in a PDF, the page may be a scanned image or photo of text rather than actual text. In that case, the content is usually not searchable. However, in Acrobat, under Tools, you can use Scan & OCR which turns scans or photos into a searchable PDF with selectable text.

If the content is actually text, but searching still does not work correctly, the issue may be related to font encoding, document corruption, security settings, or accessibility and tagging issues within the PDF.

With regards to adding a ‘screenshot’ unfortunately, you can't post a screenshot at the moment because Adobe's website appears to be affected by a PHP-related issue (this is a global PHP security vulnerability, my workplace has this, and we are in a different country (Canada) than Adobe (USA)

• Does this occur with one PDF or multiple PDFs?

• Is the PDF a regular PDF or a scanned document?

• Which version of Acrobat Reader are you using? (Menu > Help > About Acrobat Reader)
