1- Did you check this feature with any other file? Does it look distorted when trying to split any file that you want?

2- Please confirm the Acrobat version you are running. Also ensure that you have the latest update installed. 

Go to Acrobat> Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once (you must save all the work before restarting)

 3- Open Acrobat>help>repair installation [for Windows only]

When nothing works, and you still get a broken view of details then,
