Select and scrolling is slow

Hello - this seems like it should be an easy fix but I haven't found anything in the forums to address my issue.  Starting last month selecting test and scrolling at the same time has become extremely slow and laggy. I used to be able to select and scroll at a quick pace. If I am not selecting text I can scroll no problem.  I am using Acrobat Pro on a Mac.  I am using the latest version of Adobe.  Thank you for any help.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.

As you have the latest version of the Acrobat installed, please make sure its 25.01.20428. Go to Help > About Acrobat. Also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://adobe.ly/41Fe0oN and see if that works.

You may also try turning off the protected mode for testing only. Go to Preferences (Ctrl,Cmd+K) > Enhances Security > Uncheck > Enable Protected mode at start up > Click OK and reboot the device once.
Note: Please turn on the security after testing to avoid any security risk.

Let us know how it goes.

I do have the latest version for acrobat. I rebooted the system and
unchecked enable protected mode. This is an issue with all PDFs. As I
stated this started a month ago. I tried using adobe reader and I can
select and scroll no problem however it does not offer the option to copy
with formatting as acrobat does.

I am ready to cancel my subscription with adobe. Since last year it
gets harder and harder to complete simple copy and paste from a PDF to an
excel sheet. I keep having to have work around and extra steps. This
latest is the most annoying and frustrating
