Selective intervals for bates/page numbers

I am looking for a quick positive/negative on a specific use case - and if + I will need a quick walkthrough:

I work with large amounts of pdf documents and i need a quick and easy way to organize them (DC does this well) and number them.

My issue with DC is that it seemingly only opperates with intervals for numbering and only 1 interval at that.

Example structure:

Frontpage (No #)

Page 1 (#00256)

Page 2-4 (No #)

P.5(#00257)

6-8(No#)

9(#00258)

10-34(NO#)

35-38(#00259-00261)

I am aware that I can start new series no problem. But the way I read it, DC will be unable to edit them,; if I try to update I will be limited to the very first series I made.

So the question is, Can DC solve my issue?
