Sending documents for signing via Adobe sign not working when sending to internal recipients.

Hi Community,

I have been having issues with sending documents for signing via AdobeSign, and this occurs when the recipient is an employee of the organisation that owns the Adobe Acrobat Pro licence. I have no issues at all sending documents to external recipients.

Does anyone else experience this? Is this perhaps a setting I need to adjust - I have looked and can't see anything. I've tried the troubleshooting and FAQ's but nothing really covers this.

Hoping someone can help. Thanks

Hi @absolutelearner

Sorry for the troubled experience, and thanks for reaching out.
We are missing crucial information about the problem, which is what problem those users are experiencing when they receive the agreement or document to sign?

Is there any error? Are they not receiving the documents to sign at all?

Hi Tariq,

thanks for the reply. Sorry I just read my initial post, I didn't mention that those recipients are not receiving any document or email notification at all. But on my end, under My Documents it shows as pending.

Thanks again.

Hi @absolutelearner

I still don't have the full context of the problem, so I am assuming a few things to assist you further. I couldn't see any pending contracts under your account.
If that user hasn't used Acrobat Sign yet, please check this: https://adobe.ly/4lyke1p

Likely Cause of the “Pending” Status

When sending to someone within your domain, Acrobat Sign assumes they are an internal user. If that email address:

  • Exists in your Acrobat Sign account, but

  • Is not activated, or is in Pending/Unverified status, or

  • Has no license or login capability enabled, or

  • Is disabled or misconfigured

Let us know how it works.
