I tried to install Adobe Acrobat XI. When entering the serial number Adobe said it is revoked. I talked to Adobe support and they ask me to make a post here for expert help.

It was bundled when I got my old computer many years ago. I never used it, just that found it recently in the draw.

I talked to Adobe support already 3 times, but they only said it is out of support so they cannot issue a replacement serial number. I didn’t understand that I have a genuine serial number sticker and original DVD, and I was able to register this serial number into my account and Adobe even provide me a link to download the software, but end up does not allow me to activate it.

Hi there

As described in my previous response, Acrobat XI reached the end of support on October 15, 2017, and Adobe has since retired the activation servers for that version, so even a genuine serial number may no longer activate. More details here: End of support for Adobe Acrobat XI and Reader XI

Here is what Adobe says

“End of support means that Adobe no longer provides technical support, including product and/or security updates, for all derivatives of a product or product version (localized versions, minor upgrades, operating systems, dot and double-dot releases, and connector products).”

This statement does not mention that Adobe retired the activation server so license owner cannot activate a genuine serial number. So it is Adobe that refuse to activate the license I paid in full. I don’t need technical support, product and/or security updates. I just want Adobe to activate my Acrobat XI so I can run it on a standalone computer that is not even connected to the Internet!

I have my old Win 7 machine in the basement that still running MS Office 97! At least MS let me call their 1800 number to activate the Office 97!

The message you're seeing, "The serial number you entered has been revoked. This product cannot be licensed," is tied to your specific account and purchase record, so we can't confirm it from the forum alone. A couple of things that would help:

Was this serial from a personal/retail purchase, or part of a volume license (VIP) through an organization?

If this serial was originally a retail purchase, it's worth checking whether you're entitled to a currently supported version rather than continuing to try to activate Acrobat XI Standard specifically.
