Question

Settings to minimize time to process eSigning?

Hello,

I'm using Adobe Reader XI 11.0.10 to perform the final eSign approval on several documents. Regardless of the document size, complexity in terms of the origional source, etc., the process from beginning to end for me to open the document, define my eSign location, select my signature reason, processing of the signature up until the 'save as' prompt appears, then the verification during the save process... all of that takes about two minutes per document.

If I cursor off the Acobat window to do some other task while it is processing/saving/verifying, etc., it often fails and I have to start over. Thus, the two minutes is a lot of wait time where I can't do anything else.

The description above and time it takes, has always been this way--for about three years no better no worse... reversion updates, different PCs, different networks, etc.

Are there any tips to reduce the time it takes to eSign? If there are paramaters/settings you need to know related to our eSign set up or otherwise, just ask... but be specific/detailed as I may not know where to find the information you are seeking.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

in which operating system are you using this old version of Acrobat?

I am using Windows 10. After I created this message, I opened the documents with Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, it is works much better. Same sequence of pauses, verifications and all, but only a couple seconds between operations, and then more normal expected time to "save as". I looked on our company site for s/w and these versions are still what they are offering; not sure why.

What is the general Adobe application and version that is current for eSigning documents?

Thank you for asking!
