Share button no longer giving attachment as an option

Question

I have a user on Acrobat Continuous release version 2026.001.21563 64 bit. Recently they noticed under the share button, share as email attachment is no longer available.

If they click on Outlook as the share option, it opens new Outlook message with Adobe links automatically. If they choose email, still no option.

I checked under Preferences and Email accounts. Neither check box is checked to force use a link.

Couldn’t find any related issues that weren’t over 3 years old.

HiAnonCA,Thank you for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble caused.Since you are having the same issue, please check to ensure that the option "Always send a file as link" is disabled.If the problem persists, could you please share a short video demonstrating the steps you are taking and the options that appear? I have the same issue - but cannot resolve it using the method you set out.

My company has a policy of not using external non-company cloud servers - need to be able to share a file by email as an attachment from within Acrobat - not being able to do so is a real pain - used to be able to, but not now
