SharePoint integration - Error code: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION

We are receicving a SharePoint integration error: “Error code: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION” when opening PDF documents from SharePoint online. This is occuring across all browsers on our tenant.

Is there a way of checking if this is an Adobe service issue?

    Hello @Robert38274677oelr,

I hope you are doing well, and thank you for reaching out. We're sorry for the trouble you had.

The error you’re seeing is not a documented Adobe service outage or known Adobe-specific error code. “STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION” is typically a browser-level crash/error (commonly seen in Chromium‑based browsers like Chrome/Edge) rather than a direct Acrobat or SharePoint service error.

You can check the Adobe service status here: https://adobe.ly/43c8V7s

Since this is occurring across all browsers, the most likely causes are:

Browser configuration issues affecting the Acrobat–SharePoint integration

    Cookie/session restrictions

    Environment or network/security configuration

    Suggestions:

    Test outside the web workflow

Download the PDF locally and open it in Acrobat

If it opens normally > the issue is related to browser/SharePoint integration, not the PDF or Acrobat app.

    Try a different environment

Open the same SharePoint file using:

    A different browser

    A different machine/network

If it works elsewhere > likely environment or tenant configuration issue, not Adobe services
