Sharing failed message

I have a document that I'm trying to share.  It is only 26 MB but it has over 3000 comments from the architect.  I tried to send the share link to our vendor and received te following message:  Sharing failed as size of the comments in the PDF exceeds the limit. Please delete some comments or reduce the characters and retry.

I can't delete the comments.  I contacted support but they gave me link that was for PDF Sign limitations.  What? Anyone else know how I can share this without having to use dropbox?

Hi Svangelder

We are sorry for the trouble. As described, you are not able to share the file with 3000 comments and getting the error message 'Sharing failed as size of the comments in the PDF exceeds the limit'

Are you using Adobe Acrobat DC? If yes, if the PDF exceeds the 5-MB file-size limit, Acrobat prompts you to send your comments in a Forms Data Format (FDF) file.

Please try the following preference settings and see if that works.  Open the document in Acrobat DC Go to Edit (Windows), Adobe Acrobat DC (Mac) > Preferences > Reviewing > Send documents as FDF for files greater than 5 MB

Hi Amal,

I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.  This pdf is only 26 MB.  I've been able to share PDF files greater than this but with fewer comments (248 MB w/600 comments).  I already have those settings in place.  I'm trying to send a shareable link to my client for review.  It fails and I get the error message that I posted in my original post.

Any other ideas?  Thank you!
