Show comments pane when PDF with comments is opened

I have unclicked the "show comments pane when a PDF with comments is opened" every time I use acrobat. I always click ok afterward. I close the program, restart my computer, yet the box is checked again. What is the fix for this?

Sorry for the delayed response and troubled experience. Thank you for reaching out with your feedback and questions.

With the latest version of Acrobat, when you open a PDF file that contains comments, Acrobat will automatically open the comments panel for you. However, there’s an important detail to note: if you close the PDF file after previously closing the comments panel, the next time you open the PDF, the comments panel will not automatically appear—but only if a specific preference setting is enabled. Make sure to check your preferences to control this behavior.

To check or modify this preference:

  1. Go to Edit (Windows) or Acrobat (Mac) in the top menu.
  2. Select Preferences. Keyboard shortcuts: Keyboard shortcut (Cmd + K) Mac and (Ctrl+K) Wins.
  3. Navigate to the Documents category.
  4. Look for the option "Restore Last View Settings When Reopening Documents" and enable or disable it as needed.

Anyone find a solution to this? I've got the same problem and @SnobbishJade posted this over 6 months ago.
