SMS clickable link in pdf

  1. I have created a pdf business card and successfully used the "mail to:" and "tel:" formats to open and send an email and or make a call 
  2. However I can't get a proper format for sms. I've tried "sms: phonenumer" with no success.
  3. Can someone provide the format so that when someone clicks the "text me" button the SMS app opens to send a text.

This seems to be a problem with Adobe Reader. Several competitors products wotk perfectly with the clickable link function "sms: phonenumber" to open the phone app and send a text. Foxit, Wunderlist and even Microsoft onedrive will open the app and send a text. Go figure that Adobe can't get it to work.
