Snapshot tool in Acrobat Pro stopped working abruptly

The tool was working fine and then just stopped. After selecting the tool in the Edit menu it will select a rectangular area but then nothing happens. The box stating the snapshot is copied does not come up. Using Windows 10.

In the preferences of Adobe Acrobat push the button "Reset All Warnings".

What happens when you use the snapshot tool?

There's no such box, as far as I can tell. Go to Word and click on Paste. Does it paste the area you took a screenshot of? If so, then it works fine...
